The EU Energy Efficiency ErP Directive

The EU Energy Efficiency ErP Directive (2009/125/EC) has been officially implemented since November 20, 2009, replacing the original EuP Directive. Compared with the old directive, the new directive has expanded the product scope to include products that have a direct/indirect impact on energy consumption during use. The purpose is to improve the energy efficiency of products on the market and reduce their impact on the environment. . ErP certification will also serve as a regulation under the EU CE certification and will be enforced together with electromagnetic compatibility EMC, low voltage LVD, radio communications and other requirements.
