Initial production inspection(IPC)
HQC Inspection providing professional initial production inspection services, building a solid quality defense line from the source of mass production, controlling the initial quality standards for cooperative clients, and effectively avoiding quality risks in mass production.
Initial production inspection, also known as first-piece inspection, is a quality check conducted at the initial stage of formal mass production of a product. It is the first quality control checkpoint in the entire production process, and third-party inspection agencies will participate in the verification and control simultaneously.
I. Testing Applicable Scenarios
Our services cover all key production stages, including initial production of new products, batch replacement of raw materials, equipment and mold debugging, production process adjustments, and shift handover and start-up. Upon arrival on-site, our inspection personnel conduct comprehensive verification work in strict accordance with order requirements, industry standards, and customer quality inspection standards.
II. Core Testing Objectives
By investigating potential quality issues related to materials, equipment, and processes at the source, we can ensure that all product indicators meet order requirements and industry standards, prevent the production of large quantities of defective products, reduce material waste and production costs, unify subsequent mass production quality standards, and proactively avoid quality problems and trade disputes.
The inspection scope covers multiple core dimensions such as product appearance, specifications and dimensions, manufacturing process, actual use function, raw and auxiliary materials and accessories, and compliance labels, and meticulously investigates various quality problems such as deformation, defects, parameter deviations, and workmanship oversights that occur in the initial production.
During the inspection process, we accurately record all test data and objectively determine the sample's qualification status. If any quality abnormalities are found, we promptly urge the factory to rectify and adjust the issues, and mass production is only permitted after the retest meets the standards. Upon completion of the inspection, we issue a true and valid inspection report.
III. Main Inspection Items
Appearance quality: Inspect the product for any defects such as deformation, scratches, burrs, color differences, seam defects, or missing markings.
Specifications and dimensions: Actual product parameters, verified against drawings and order specifications.
Craftsmanship: Inspect whether the assembly, bonding, and welding processes are standardized and secure.
Functionality and Performance: Practical testing of the product's basic functions to verify normal operation.
Materials and accessories: Verify that the material, model, and quantity of the accessories match the order requirements.
Compliance labeling: Verify that the nameplate, label, and packaging style meet the regulatory requirements.
IV. Basic Inspection Procedure
The first batch of products from the production line were selected as the test objects.
Each item was tested and recorded according to the inspection standards.
If the test results are satisfactory, mass production can proceed; if they are unsatisfactory, the factory must be instructed to rectify and adjust the issues, and production can only begin after a retest confirms compliance.
Retain inspection records and video data, and establish quality traceability files.
V. Management Value
Leveraging its independent and impartial third-party inspection advantages, Inspection standardizes production quality from the source, significantly reducing defective products and material losses, stabilizing the overall quality of goods, helping companies avoid potential shipping risks and trade disputes in advance, and fully ensuring the steady progress of order production and the smooth delivery of goods.
