2026 BSCI 2.0 Key Updates

BSCI 2.0, aligned with EU CSDDD, ILO conventions, and ESG frameworks, introduces critical changes:

Unannounced audits – Fully notified audits eliminated; semi-notified (7–14 day window) and completely unannounced audits now mandatory. Factories need 365-day compliance.

Night shift coverage – Mandatory audits covering 17:00–08:00 shifts.

Digital enforcement – Electronic attendance and payroll matching required; handwritten records no longer accepted; ≥30% anonymous interviews.

Labor rights – Weight increased to 45%; core rules: ≤48h/week, ≤36h/month overtime, ≥1 rest day/week.

Environmental compliance – Mandatory carbon footprint reporting, aligned with ISO 14064; traceability extends to tier-2 suppliers.

Self-application – Factories can apply directly on amfori platform without buyer RSP authorization.

Ratings – A/B (2-year), C (1-year), D/E (CAP required within 30 days).
