1. General Inspection Regulation
This standard applies to the final factory inspection of all finished footwear, including sneakers, casual shoes, leather shoes, sandals and boots. It is the final quality control procedure before shipment. Adopting AQL sampling standards, it covers appearance, dimension, workmanship, physical performance, functionality, packaging and labeling to ensure stable and compliant bulk product quality.
2. Sampling Standard (AQL Industry Standard)
Random sampling without selection. Sampling quantity and cartons is according to AQL .
Critical Defect (CR): 1 defective piece leads to full batch rejection.
Major Defect (MA): Exceeding standard leads to batch rejection and rework.
Minor Defect (MI): Allowed for release with rectification within controllable range.
3. Final Inspection Items, Methods & Standards
3.1 Appearance Inspection (Visual & Hand Touch)
Method: Inspect under natural or standard light, touch interior and exterior surface.
Standard: Clean surface without stains, scratches, damage, color difference or peeling. Left & right shoes keep consistent color and texture. No excess glue, thread skipping, broken stitches or deformation. Shoe shape, toe and collar are neat and symmetrical.
3.2 Size & Symmetry Inspection
Method: Measure outsole length, width, collar height and heel height; compare left and right pairs.
Standard: All dimensions comply with approved samples and technical drawings within tolerance. No size deviation, asymmetry or unbalanced shoe pairs.
3.3 Stitching Workmanship
Even stitch spacing, smooth stitching and firm backstitch at start & end points. No skipped stitches, broken threads, floating threads or residual thread ends. Neat splicing without wrinkling or tight stitching. Inner stitching is flat and comfortable without sharp edges.
3.4 Bonding & Molding Quality
Method: Bend sole, pull shoe body and press bonding area manually.
Standard: Upper, midsole and outsole are tightly bonded without delamination, open glue, bubbles or dislocation. Shoe shape is full and stable with good bending resilience, no rigid deformation or cracking risk.
3.5 Accessories & Functional Test
Hardware accessories are smooth, rust-proof and paint-fall free. Velcro is firmly adhered and tension-resistant. Zipper slides smoothly without jamming or missing teeth. Shoelace holes are aligned, and all accessories are installed firmly without looseness or falling off.
3.6 Physical Performance Inspection
1. Color Fastness: No fading or color transfer after friction, sweat and water contact.
2. Bending Resistance: No sole cracking, surface breaking or glue opening after repeated bending.
3. Adhesion Performance: Logo, printing and coating are firm without peeling.
4. Structural Stability: Complete sole texture and stable heel structure.
3.7 Odor & Safety Inspection
Finished shoes have no pungent glue smell, chemical odor or mildew smell. All materials are clean, pollution-free and meet footwear environmental safety standards.
3.8 Labeling & Packaging Inspection
Size label, care label, origin label and material label are complete, clear and correctly positioned. Shoe boxes are intact, clean and accurately printed. Outer carton marks including batch, quantity and specification are correct. Packaging provides effective dustproof, moistureproof and compression-resistant protection for transportation.
4. Standard Final Inspection Process
1. Random Sampling
2. Appearance & Shape Check
3. Size Tolerance & Symmetry Verification
4. Workmanship, Bonding & Accessories Function Test
5. Physical Performance Spot Check
6. Odor & Safety Inspection
7. Label & Packaging Compliance Check
8. Result Judgment, Sealing & Shipment Arrangement
5. Defect Classification Standard
Critical Defect (CR): Severe delamination, sole breaking, structural damage, excessive pungent odor and safety hazards → full batch rejection.
Major Defect (MA): Obvious color difference, serious deformation, functional failure and missing key labels → batch rejection and rework.
Minor Defect (MI): Tiny thread ends, slight wipeable stains with no impact on appearance and usage → allow release with minor rectification.
