Sampling Rules
Follow GB/T2828.1-2012 (equivalent to ANSI/ASQ Z1.4), General Inspection Level-II, random sampling. Destructive tests such as drop-test sampled as required. If calculated sample size exceeds total lot quantity, perform 100% inspection.
Defect Levels
1. Critical Defect (Zero Tolerance,AQL=0): Sharp flash / burr, penetrating crack on housing / blade, risk of tipping-over, power-cord insulation broken with conductor exposed. Even one defective unit → full-batch rejection, shipment prohibited.
2. Major Defect (AQL=2.5): Broken mesh-guard wire, poor / fallen-off mesh-guard weld, loose fan-blade nut, failed guard-lock, pitch / height locking failure, main function failure(gear / swing / timer / remote-control), swing jam, abnormal metal friction noise, abnormal over-heating of adapter, crack after packaged drop-test, missing nameplate / mandatory safety warning. Reject batch if over-limit, re-inspection after rework.
3. Minor Defect (AQL=4.0): Harmless tiny flash, minor scratch, slight correctable mesh-guard deformation, single indicator lamp out, minor carton dent. Acceptable within allowed quantity, process improvement required.
1 Inspection Workflow
1. Check outer carton, shipping mark and PO documents.
2. Inspect color box, foam inner packing, manual and warning label.
3. Count full set including guard, blade, base, stand, remote-control, power-adapter.
4. Visual inspection: housing, base, mesh-guard & weld spot, fan-blade, power cord, adapter appearance.
5. Dimension measurement: overall height, guard diameter, base dimension, stand travel range.
6. Assembly check: guard locking, blade nut fastening, pitch adjustment, stand lifting-lock, base stability, remote-control key feel.
7. On-site power-on functional screening: gear speed test, swing test, pitch positioning, timer, remote-control, indicator lamp, abnormal noise & vibration, adapter operation; packaged drop-test spot-check. Cut-off power immediately in case of swing jam.
8. Verify nameplate, safety warning; 3C mark for AC mains-power fan for Chinese market.
9. Count defects, take photos, judge accept / reject and generate inspection report.
10. Provide Container Loading Supervision service upon request.
2 Key Inspection Items
Visual Inspection
- No sharp flash / burr; no penetrating crack on housing or blade.
- Mesh-guard: no broken wire, no loose / fallen-off weld; fan-blade intact without crack.
- Power-cord insulation intact, no exposed conductor.
- Adapter housing free of crack.
Dimension & Assembly
Measure height, guard diameter, base dimension vs approved sample. Check guard lock, blade nut tightness, pitch-angle locking, stand lifting-lock, base anti-tipping stability.
On-site Functional Screening
1. Gear-Speed Test: Each gear runs with obvious speed difference; no gear malfunction.
2. Swing-Oscillation Test: Swing starts & stops smoothly, no jamming or heavy metal-crash noise; cut-off power once jammed.
3. Pitch-Positioning Test: Head keeps angle steadily without self-dropping during running.
4. Timer Test: Timer counts down and cuts-off normally if equipped.
5. Remote-Control Test: Remote-control responds correctly to each command.
6. Indicator-Lamp Check: Lamp status matches gear setting.
7. Noise & Vibration Check: No abnormal metal friction noise, no severe resonance shaking.
8. Adapter Power-Supply Test: Adapter without abnormal over-heat or strange noise.
9. Packaged Drop-Spot-Check: Test with full original package, select 2-3 weak sides; no housing crack or broken guard.
Marking & Manual
Nameplate marked with model, rated voltage, rated power. AC mains-power fan for Chinese market shall have 3C logo. User manual includes safety warning: keep fingers away from rotating guard, no covering during operation. Mandatory translated warning for export orders.
3 Defect Classification
- Critical Defect: Sharp burr, penetrating crack, tipping risk, exposed conductor of power cord. One found → full-batch rejection.
- Major Defect: Broken guard wire / loose weld, loose blade nut, locking failure, main-function failure, swing jam, abnormal noise, adapter over-heat, missing nameplate / safety warning. Reject batch if over-limit, full rework required.
- Minor Defect: Tiny harmless flash, minor scratch, slight correctable guard deformation, single lamp out, slight carton dent. Allowed for release within AQL limit, continuous process improvement required.
